Just over the hill from Bodrum lies the village of Gümbet, once a sleepy little fishing village. It has grown rapidly in the past few years and is now a holiday resort in its own right. The sandy beach a mecca for sun worshippers, is within easy walking distance of the town and most hotels. Cages and bars proliferate along the beach, and there are plenty of fun water sports for the young and the young at heart.
